Birmingham man charged after spate of burglaries in Luton

A man has been charged after a number of burglaries took place in Bedfordshire. Dwellings were targeted in burglaries in Luton on May 1 and May 4 earlier this year.

On Friday (June 17) a Birmingham man appeared in court facing two charges of burglary. 32-year-old Perparim Handraj, of Cock Lane, Birmingham, was charged and remanded in custody.

He’ll next appear in court on Monday, July 18. Bedfordshire Police have urged more people to come forward with information in regards to burglaries across Luton.

Detective Sergeant Gemma Pugh, from Bedfordshire Police’s specialist Operation Maze burglary team, said: “We are determined to do all we can to protect our communities from burglary.”

Anyone with any information about burglary is asked to report it via Bedfordshire Police’s online reporting centre. They can also submit information by calling 101.
