Luton man extradited back to the UK from France to face rape and kidnap charges
A Luton man charged with kidnap and rape has been extradited back to the UK from France to appear in court. 39-year-old Daoud Khan was issued charges following an incident in Milton Keynes and Luton on across March 8 and March 9.
British and French police authorities worked together to get Khan back into the UK safely. He appeared at Luton Magistrates Court last week, and has been remanded in custody. He’ll next appear in court next month.
A Bedfordshire Police spokesperson said: “A man has been extradited from France and charged with kidnap and rape. Daoud Khan, 39, from St Mildreds Avenue, Luton, was extradited back to the UK last Thursday (16 June) after officers from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit worked with the Crown Prosecution Service and French authorities to secure his return.

“Khan has been charged with kidnap and rape in connection to an incident which took place on 8 and 9 March in Milton Keynes and Luton. He appeared at Luton Magistrates’ Court on Friday (17 June) and has been remanded into custody. He is next due to appear before Luton Crown Court on 18 July.”
