Lauren Goodger breaks silence after ex Jake McLean killed in crash
It is believed McLean “lost control” while driving and the car careered off a cliff in the tourist in Bodrum, according to The Sun.
His on/off girlfriend Yazmin Oukhellou, 28, who was also in the car at the time of the crash, now remains in hospital, with reports saying she has suffered “extremely serious” damage to her arm.
Now former TOWIE star Goodger, who dated McLean on/off for four years until 2016, has broken her silence after the tragedy at the weekend.
She wrote: “RIP Jake. I have no words right now. My thoughts are with your family and friends.”
The TV personality added a broken heart and an angel emoji to her Instagram story.
It comes after many TOWIE stars flooded social media with their prayers and sadness in the wake of the tragedy.
A Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office spokesman said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Turkey and are in contact with the local authorities.
“We are also providing support to the family of a British woman who has been hospitalised.”
Oukhellou and McLean confirmed their romance in December.
However, by January, their romance appeared to be over as Oukhellou told her fans they had split on Instagram.
A TV insider told The Sun: “It’s beyond shocking, just devastating for everyone connected to the show.
“Jake and Yaz are both very well known in our circles, and while he wasn’t a saint this is just unbelievably tragic. Everyone is stunned.”
